All Hands on Decks is Salisbury’s friendly & inclusive open decks event for local DJ’s of all skill levels hosted by No Gimmicks and Salisbury DJ Academy.
We pride ourselves in being able to offer a safe, friendly and inclusive place for local DJ’s to come & show off their skills and get together for a friendly social every month.
Our events are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at The Anchor & Hope in Winchester Street, Salisbury (from 7pm-11pm) and on the last Thursday of every month at Balkan Nightclub, New Canal, Salisbury (From 7pm-11pm).
We offer our DJ’s the chance to play on a variety of professional DJ equipment such as club standard Pioneer CDJ-3000’s with a DJM-A9 mixer, a range of Pioneer DJ controllers and the classic Technics SL-1210’s at our regular “Vinyl only” nights.
We try to offer something for everyone, whether you’re a beginner DJ, just starting out, a seasoned pro or someone who’s having a mid-life crisis and just wants a play, anything goes at our friendly and inclusive open-format nights.

UPLOAD YOUR DEMO MIX FOR
OPEN AIR / OPEN DECKS @ PEOPLE IN THE PARK
We have had a HUGE response from DJs wanting to come and play at this years People in the Park event, so in order to give as many people to chance to play as possible and keep things fair for everyone we’re increasing the number of available DJ slots and requesting an anonymous 15-20 minute DJ mix from each entrant.
Instructions
Record a 15-20 mix and save the file in .mp3 or .wav format.
Upload your mix to Mixcloud, Soundcloud or any other file sharing site of your choice.
Copy the “Share” link of your file and paste it into the form below when submitting your entry
We want to make this competition as accessible as possible for everyone and we understand that some DJ’s may not have access to their own decks/recording software at home so for anyone who’s unable to record their own mix we’d like to offer you a 30 minute set at one of our upcoming “All Hands on Decks” events that are taking place between now and the end of April.
This will give everyone a fair crack of the whip.
