This 12 session course covers the basic principles of vinyl DJing, harmonic mixing and beat matching.
You will be learning on top spec. industry standard DJ equipment (2 x Technics SL1210 turntables with a Pioneer DJM-A9 Mixer).

Building and organising a high quality music collection.
Vinyl care, storage, BPM, Key & Cueing your tracks.
Levels, EQ, Filters & Basic Effects.
The basics of beat matching and harmonic mixing.
How pitch & tempo affect the key of a track
How to put together your first one hour DJ mix.
We recommend attending 2 practical sessions per week alongside some home learning/research. At the end of the 12 sessions you should be familiar with the equipment and have developed the basic knowledge and skills to be able to beat match and create your first one hour DJ mix.
